Ben Baldwin III is the president, owner, and lead advisor at Responsive Financial Group, Inc. (RFG), a Registered Investment Advisory firm he founded in 2003, and a 3rd generation financial advisor with more than 36 years of experience in financial planning, investment management, retirement plans, consulting and insurance. Ben is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and closely held businesses achieve long-term financial security.
His career spans advisory roles at The Equitable(aka AXA Advisors) and A.W. Ormiston & Co. and leadership roles in multiple advisory firms, including Baldwin Financial Systems, Inc. and The Financial Concepts Company before founding Responsive Financial Group, Inc. and consulting for TIAA developing their Intelligent Life & Annuity product line.
Earlier in his career, he taught financial planning courses at DePaul University, built specialized insurance and retirement planning strategies for law firms and business owners.
Benjamin is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, a Chartered Financial Consultant, and a Certified Financial Transitionist®, uniquely qualified to guide clients through life’s most complex financial decisions. A former U.S. Navy Naval Flight Officer, he brings discipline, integrity, and a mission-driven approach to his work.
Active in the profession, he has held leadership positions with the Society of Financial Services Professionals and the Financial Planning Association of Il as and was Pro-Bono Director, and has spoken nationally on fiduciary best practices, investment management, business continuity and financial planning strategies.
At RFG, Ben focuses on delivering comprehensive fee-only, client-centered advice designed to align financial strategies with the life goals of his select clients and their families.
